Vocational Enhancement Programme (VEP) at Newtownhamilton High School
Since 2005/6, a Vocational Enhancement Programme (VEP) in partnership with the Southern Regional College (Newry) has been developed. This exciting initiative has now been extended to include collaboration with St. Paul's High School Bessbrook, Newry High School and St. Joseph's High School Crossmaglen thus giving our Key Stage 4 pupils the opportunity to study a wide range of Occupational Studies, B.Tech and GCSE courses every Thursday, whilst gaining external accreditation.

A level 2 in CCEA Occupational Studies is counted by the Construction Industry Training Board as being equivalent to 2 GCSE grades at A*-C.
B.Tech & GCSE Courses
From September 2010, pupils from Newtownhamilton High have had the opportunity to study additional B.Tech First Certificates and GCSE courses in collaboration with SRC and our other collaborative partners.
