Mrs Ruth Park from local charity HAND made a visit to our Friday morning assembly to accept a cheque for £220 towards the 'Run for Autism' event that was held in the Newtownhamilton area at the beginning of October.
The money had been raised following the successful European Breakfast Morning held on 24/09/10 when pupils got the opportunity to eat delicious treats such as crepes and croissants at a small cost. Pictured is Mrs Ruth Park (second from right) accepting the cheque from pupils Jodie Riddle and Lois McNiece. Also included are Mrs Laverty (Charity Co-ordinator) and Mrs McNiece.

19/10/10 - Under 14 Team Suffer Defeat to Tandragee JHS
The Under 14 football team were beaten 4-1 by Tandragee JHS in their Mid-Ulster Schools' league match. Gary Knight opened the scoring for Newtownhamilton with a long range looping free-kick however Tandragee hit back with 3 goals before half-time.
Newtownhamilton High enjoyed the majority of possession in the second half but found no way through a strong Tandragee defence. Tandragee made it 4-1 in injury but Newtownhamilton can take pride in this performance considering many players were playing at an age level above them.

Nathan Dodds (pictured right) gave his side an early lead before Daryl Johnston (pictured left) made it 2-0 in the second half. Killicomaine brought the scores level with two well-taken goals late in the match.
