18/12/14 - 'Her-Style' A Huge Success

Tired staff and pupils are today reflecting on the highly successful 'Her-Style' performances staged in the School Assembly Hall on Monday 15th (2 shows), Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th December. The community came out in force to support the school with over 1100 adults and children attending the 4 performances. This support for the school is very much appreciated.

A massive thank you goes to all the pupils, staff and community members that contributed in any small way to the success of this event. Special mention must go to Producer and Director Mrs Louise Graham for her outstanding contribution over recent months.

Ordered DVDs are now available for collection from the school office. There are about 12 spare copies (priced at £8 each) which would make an ideal Christmas present. Interested individuals can contact the school office (02830 878246) to place an order.

18/12/14 - Year 12 Modular & Mock Exams (January 2015)

Year 12 pupils are reminded that January will be a busy month. In addition to ongoing controlled assessment, pupils will be completing a number of important modular examinations in English, Maths and LLW starting on Wednesday 7th January.

Following this, our mock examinations will be held from Monday 12th to Thursday 15th January (click on link below for mock timetable). Pupils will be free to leave school early for home study during this period if they have no afternoon examinations, while a supervised study room will be available for those that wish to remain.

17/12/14 - Year 10 Christmas Cakes

Congratulations to the Year 10 pupils for an excellent display of Christmas Cakes. The winners will be announced during assembly in the New Year.
12/12/14 - School Association Non-Uniform Day

Our School Association held a Non-Uniform Day today with pupils donating £1 for the privilege of not having to wear their school uniform.

All participants found their name entered in the hat for 8 Christmas treats. Unfortunately for the girls, there was limited success with only Hannah Hughes winning. For the boys Calvin Conn, Mark Giffin, James Kennedy, William McBride Joseph Mitchell, Jason Whitcroft & Aaron Whyte were successful in the draw which was conducted by School Association Members George Blackwood, Ruth Smyth and Allison Johnston.

Congratulations to all prize winners.
