20/12/12 - Sister, Sister Success
Staff and pupils today reflect on the highly successful Sister, Sister performances staged in the School Assembly Hall on Tuesday 18th and Wednesday 19th December. The community came out in force to support the school with over 1000 adults and children attending the 3 performances. This support for the school is very much appreciated.
A massive thank you goes to all the pupils, staff and community members that contributed in any small way to the success of this event. Special mention must be given to Producer and Director Miss Louise Graham who commented "Congratulations to everyone involved in our production - what an amazing show! All the hard work really paid off. Thank you to the pupils and staff members who made it such a success - well done everyone! Have a great Christmas, you deserve it!"
A DVD of the Wednesday night performance is now available for collection at the school office. Any individual still wishing to order a DVD (priced at £10) should contact the school office (02830 878246) as soon as possible - they would make an ideal Christmas gift!
20/12/12 - Year 8's Produce Christmas Garlands & Quilts
Year 8 recently spent time with pupils from St Paul’s High School making Christmas Garlands and Quilts as part of the Shared Education Programme. Pupils also had opportunity to be videoed for a DVD (available soon) on how they made their embroidered quilts, which were also on display in the Quays Shopping Centre in Newry City.
17/12/12 - Year 11V Visit to the STEM Centre, Dungannon
13 boys from 11V went to visit The STEM Centre in Dungannon recently. They had the opportunity to do: blood spatter analysis, finger print analysis and e-fit activities during a Crime Scene Investigation themed day. They each finished their day with some “lounge time” to use the I-pads that the centre has available.

Newtownhamilton High 0
Lismore Comprehensive 0
The U15 boys kicked off their league campaign with a creditable draw against Lismore on Friday 30 November. Both teams gave a good account of themselves and the match was played in very good spirit. Defences came out on top on the day with very few goal scoring chances created. Best for Newtownhamilton were Neil Morton, Matthew Harrison and man of the match Andrew Knight.
